The Condenser Fan Motor is an OEM part for GE refrigerators. This part drives the fan that circulates air across the condenser coils, which helps to dissipate heat and allow the refrigerant to cool more efficiently.
Causes of a bad condenser fan motor can include wear and tear from continuous use, buildup of dust and debris that can impede fan operation, or electrical faults leading to motor burnout.
Symptoms of a bad Condenser Fan Motor include:
- Unusually high refrigerator temperatures
- Loud noises coming from the back of the refrigerator where the motor is located
- The refrigerator cycling on and off more frequently than usual
This OEM GE part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore models.

This PTC start relay mounts on the refrigerator compressor and briefly energizes the start winding, then automatically opens as it warms. Replacing a weak relay helps restore reliable compressor starts and consistent cooling. What it does:
- Provides momentary power to the compressor's start winding at startup; the PTC element opens as it heats
- Helps ensure smooth compressor starts and reduces repeated start attempts
- Signs of a failed start device can include no cooling because the compressor won't run
- Clicking or buzzing from the compressor area every few minutes
- Compressor starts intermittently or stops shortly after starting
What's included:
- Includes: 1 PTC start relay
Install notes:
- Disconnect power and pull the refrigerator forward to access the rear service area
- Remove the rear panel to reach the compressor compartment
- Unplug the wire harness and pull the old relay straight off the compressor terminals; note its orientation
- Push the new relay fully onto the compressor prongs, reconnect the harness, reinstall the panel, and restore power

- Helps maintain a sealed path for reliable flow to the dispenser and/or ice maker
- Replace if tubing is cracked, kinked, brittle, or leaking
- Common symptoms include puddling, dripping, reduced/No water at the dispenser, or ice maker not filling
What's included: One water line/tube. Install notes:
- Disconnect power and shut off the water supply before servicing
- Note the original routing and clip locations; avoid sharp bends and kinks during installation
- Fully seat tubing into existing connectors/fittings on your model
- Turn water back on, check all connections for leaks, and purge air by dispensing water

Old plastic water line broke and i broke the valve trying to pull the end of the water line out Ronald W. • Sagaponack , NY • May 13, 2017
I replace the water inlet valve in my refrigerator about 8 months ago. About a week ago, the old plastic water line broke. I forgot how the water line connector worked and broke the valve trying to pull it out. I got a new valve and replacement water line, and it went in easily, just like the video said.
Morals of the story:
1. Know how to remove the old plastic water line. I could have saved myself the price of a new valve if I'd remembered how the connector worked. Unless you have a really...

The defrost heater warms the evaporator during automatic defrost cycles to remove frost and ice, restoring airflow and cooling. Replacing a failed heater helps prevent frost buildup and maintain more consistent temperatures throughout the refrigerator.
- Melts frost from the evaporator coil during scheduled defrost cycles
- Helps maintain airflow and cooling performance between compartments
- Failure may cause heavy frost on the back wall/evaporator cover
- Can lead to reduced cooling, long run times, or fan noise from ice contact
What's included: One defrost heater. Install notes:
- Disconnect power before servicing; wear appropriate gloves.
- Remove freezer shelves/ice maker as needed and the rear panel to access the evaporator area.
- Defrost any ice buildup and avoid damaging evaporator fins or wiring.
- Reuse original mounting hardware/clips as needed; check the defrost thermostat and control if frost issues continue.
