The Evaporator Fan Motor Kit is an OEM part compatible with GE refrigerators. It is a critical component responsible for circulating air and maintaining proper airflow within the refrigerator's evaporator system, ensuring efficient cooling and temperature regulation. It features a shaft that measures 3/8 of an inch and two right-side terminals. Notably, the motor no longer comes with harness wires, which must be obtained separately for installation.
Symptoms of a faulty evaporator fan motor include:
- Inconsistent or inadequate cooling in the refrigerator or freezer compartments
- Warm spots or temperature fluctuations within the refrigerator
- Excessive frost buildup or ice accumulation in the freezer
Causes of a bad evaporator fan motor can include wear and tear over time, electrical issues or short circuits, or physical damage from foreign objects or improper maintenance.
This GE replacement part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore refrigerator models.
