25 year old frig still working but one plastic shelf side support for veggie bins broke Robert G. • Raleigh , NC • December 07, 2015
GE no longer makes the shelf support available but Appliancepartspros had somewhat similar part for icemaker bucket that I could adapt. Saved the frig! Customer support was great, friendly, knowledgeable, patient, providing information about the part I needed (no longer available) and the intended use of the part I purchased. Am satisfied with the outcome but 5 stars would have been if GE still provided the missing part to suppliers (they probably didn't expect their frig to last so long!!).

I emptied door shelves and used plastic sheet to close off refrigerator. The repair was done with refrigerator running. I removed door and changed riser cam and shim. Then replaced door. It took maybe 45 minutes from start to finish. If I did the job again it would be completed in 30 minutes or less. The videos are informative.

I broke the glass cover on the veggie bin while cleaning it Karen N. • Spring , TX • November 25, 2014
I did have to dig out the tiny old broken pieces of glass from the front rubber edging with a knife blade. I tried both a screwdriver and needle nose pliers, but they were shredding the edge. Then I just popped it on and laid the glass in the slots. Super easy!
