Dispenser auger was rusty and pitted Darrell M. • Fairfield , OH • May 23, 2015
Replaced it with a new auger. The repair video displayed on your site was a life saver. It simplified a complicated process. It resulted in a successful repair with far fewer swear words. :-)
I received the parts the afternoon of second day after ordering! AppliancePartsPros.com is now my new go to source for appliance parts.

This replacement part is an ice auger blade, and it is intended for use in different types of appliances. This is a genuine replacement part made by General Electric. Ice auger blades are usually found in ice maker assemblies and are used during the ice-making and dispensing process. These blades are what are used when the user is in need of shaved or crushed ice. The mechanism takes full ice cubes and cuts the ice cubes down to create the different types of ice. A new ice auger blade might be needed if the user noticed that the current blades are dull or unable to cut ice. It is possible that the blades become dull over time after many years of use, so replacing them might be a good idea. Be sure the power is completely off before attempting to repair this part. This ice auger blade is sourced directly from the manufacturer and is a genuine OEM replacement part. Note that this part is sold individually.

Ice crusher repair GE Monogram counter depth. Glenn J. • El Cajon , CA • July 27, 2020
This was a very easy repair, the on-line video at AppliancePartsPros.com was helpful.
The Helix was spinning freely (meaning, the Auger Blade was not holding it in place on the Auger).
Pulling the assembly apart was a snap, and very logical (the video is perfect if you get lost).
The family is now enjoying both crushed and cubed ice - and the redesign of the Auger Blade seems to prevent clogging in the ice shoot.

Yellowing of handles and the recess portion of the water/ice dispenser recess Michael S. • Panama City Beach , FL • March 10, 2018
The handles were a simple fix. Just pop out the door trim, which I did by pulling on the very top and bottom of the trim to get it started. Then removed two star screws from the handle. I had to work the chrome plastic top and bottom handle caps off, then reversed the process for installing the new handle.
The Recess/Dispenser was a bit more tricky. I pried the trim and control panel off with a putty knife, then the rest was fairly obvious, such as removing screws and wiring connectors. ...
