Icemaker stopped working David K. • Haymarket , VA • July 11, 2016
GE bottom freezer icemaker stopped working for the 2nd time. Refrigerator bought in 2008, replaced (first time) icemaker in 2009 by GE tech for $450, after 7 years 2nd ice maker failed I decided to attempt replacing the icemaker myself. Purchased a replacement icemaker that comes as a kit. I replaced the water valve and the icemaker unit with in 30 minutes and I had ice the next day. Easy peasy for less than $140. Cooling fan runs but compressor tries to start and kicks out Dave F. • Painesville , OH • November 10, 2015

I also found out the overload switch could cause a like symptom. The end result being that upon removal of the relay, it was discolored and made a rattling noise when shook. The overload switch was heat cracked on the plastic and looked like it had had enough. This was easily accomplished by using the repair mans print out for the...

Refrigerator needed a new handle. Jan H. • Seminole , FL • August 27, 2020
We spoke with Cassie, who was a TREMEMDOUS help! We didn’t think we could locate the right color for the fridge, but with her help and expertise working with model numbers and related nuances, she homed right in on what we needed.
We received the materials in 2 separate shipments (a few days apart) and all went according to plan. We couldn’t be happier.
