Front burner shorted against the burner pan 1974 GE P7 Americana J767001HT Lawrence D. • Glen Burnie , MD • January 06, 2018
Replaced the burner, pan, ceramic block and the control. The control was the problem replacing it.
1.) control did NOT match the "B" type with regard to connection placement on the instruction sheet.
2.) The Instruction sheet was dated 1988! How about a revised sheet with the CORRECT diagram of the back of the control.
3.) H1 connection is actually 2 pins. Which is confusing in the least and can contribute to mis connections of H1 and H2 which causes a short circuit and trips the breaker!...
