The refrigerator fan motor grommet is a small rubber cushion that mounts between the evaporator or condenser fan motor and its bracket, absorbing vibration during motor operation. It reduces noise and prevents the motor's vibration from transferring to the refrigerator cabinet. Replace this part if your refrigerator is making a rattling or buzzing noise coming from the fan area, which is often caused by a worn or deteriorated grommet.

High level of noise with each compressor cycle Bruce H. • Bonita Springs , FL • July 24, 2015
The installation of the new condenser motor was as the video described; there were no surprises. I noted the difference in operation immediately, the fan was moving at a higher rate of speed in a smoother motion. The new motor had far less shaft end play and seems to move more air across the condenser coil than the original motor. All in all, this was a relatively easy repair that solved a real refrigerator performance problem; the unit now cycles less often and generates less compressor heat.
