- Disconnect power to the appliance before servicing
- Most installs are tool-free: pull the old knob straight off the control shaft and push the new knob on until it seats
- Align any indicator mark on the knob with the control pointer before use
- If the control shaft is damaged or the knob won't seat, do not force—inspect the underlying control and replace as needed

Remove rear dust panel and grill to expose compressor and fan. Three 1/4 bolts hold fan in place from rear, need to "reach around and feel" used a 1/4" ratchet but nut driver would work as well to remove old fan/bracket. Disconnect electrical connection. On new fan, push fan blade onto fan shaft. New fan comes with 3 mounting arms and rubber bushings. Insert rubber bushings into old screw holes on the refrigerator, push new mounting arms through, hook end first. Use old 1/4" mounting...
