Slow water flow at despenser as if the filter was clogged Richard L. • Tow , TX • February 20, 2016
First replaced water/ice maker solenoid switches at bottom of refrigerator with no improvement. Then replaced filter head and the base that was broken. That fixed the problem as the filter head had started leaking when cap/filter was removed. There was no leak for a long time at the filter head so it was difficult to determine just where the problem was in the system.

This foam filter block fits into its designated cavity to help screen debris and cushion adjoining components. Replacing a worn or missing block helps maintain proper airflow paths and can reduce vibration-related noise.
- Serves as a foam filter/seal inside the unit's air path or compartment
- Helps keep dust and debris out of internal passages
- Provides cushioning to minimize vibration and rattling
- Replace if the foam is crumbling, torn, misshapen, or won't stay seated
What's included: One foam filter block. Install notes:
- Disconnect power before servicing
- Access location per your model's parts diagram; remove any cover or grille as needed
- Note the orientation of the old block and press the new block fully into place without over-compressing
- Reinstall panels and restore power

Noise when getting water, low water flow James M. • Columbia , MO • March 30, 2020
My fridge had a loud noise when getting water, low water flow. I replaced the water filter head and everything was addressed. It worked perfectly, quick and easy repair. I needed the block-fill foam piece, since the original one broke during the repair. Shipping was fast. The repair video from Appliance Parts Pros helped a lot too. Thanks!

The freezer draw was not opening or closing properly Philip R. • Staten Island , NY • June 24, 2014
I knew the problem was with the gears and / or the rails they ride on. You can't really tell until you take it apart. Turns out my right side track had a few damaged teeth towards the front. The door has to come off, it lifts right out from the metal slide, no tools needed for this part of the repair. Both baskets have to be lifted out. The plastic gards that go over the tops have retaining clips. Pry the old gears off off the metal slides with a sturdy flat screwdriver. The replacement gears...

Condensor fan stopped running compressor/coils overheating Dana W. • Jefferson City , MO • June 27, 2014
Remove rear dust panel and grill to expose compressor and fan. Three 1/4 bolts hold fan in place from rear, need to "reach around and feel" used a 1/4" ratchet but nut driver would work as well to remove old fan/bracket. Disconnect electrical connection. On new fan, push fan blade onto fan shaft. New fan comes with 3 mounting arms and rubber bushings. Insert rubber bushings into old screw holes on the refrigerator, push new mounting arms through, hook end first. Use old 1/4" mounting...
