First, I had to replace a cracked roller so I could roll the frig out. I did this by tilting it slightly and shoving a shim underneath. I had to use two shims to get enough clearance for the wheel. I unscrewed the old wheel, screwed in the new one pretty easy, removed the shims and rolled it out. Then I unplugged the frig from the power socket, removed 6 screws from the back panel, and pulled out the old drain kit, which had become clogged with dirt and dust. I put in the new drain kit,... I was able to trace my water leak back to a crack in the drip pan. I thought, in order to patch the leak until my parts arrive, I would take the drip pan out and tape the crack. When I was trying to take it out, I cracked the shroud. So I called AppliancePartsPros.com and they were able to walk me through a plan of action and add the shroud to my order. Replaced water line to ice maker and installed redesigned p trap drain. I watched the installation videos and my wife and I easily completed this project. One thing that I want to add for others. When the ice maker supply was leaking, it filled the funnel in the ice maker with an ice block. I had to remove the ice maker(which is pretty easy) and defrost the ice block before reinstalling the supply line. If I had not, the water would have poured into the ice bin. Read more
