This replacement microwave lamp restores the lighting you rely on to safely see food in the cavity or the cooktop below, depending on your model. Replace a burned-out bulb to bring back clear, convenient visibility while cooking.
- Provides illumination for the microwave interior or the cooktop beneath an over-the-range unit
- Common symptoms: light does not turn on with the door or during cooking
- Other signs of failure: dim, flickering, or visibly blackened bulb
- Restores visibility so you can monitor food and your workspace
What's included: 1 lamp Install notes:
- Disconnect power at the breaker or unplug the appliance before servicing
- Allow the area to cool; access location varies by model
- Handle capsule-style bulbs with gloves or a clean tissue; oils from skin can shorten bulb life
- Use only the lamp type and wattage specified for your model in the user manual or on the rating label

Burnt out Kenmore microwave light. Timothy E. • Wilmington , DE • May 11, 2018
Pretty easy fix. Took out 7-8 screws to remove cover for access to light. 2 were security type screws so I had to run to the hardware store to buy a special screwdriver. One screw to remove the bulb.

A high-voltage capacitor for the appliance's high-voltage circuit that stores and releases electrical energy to support proper heating operation. Replacing a failing capacitor can restore consistent heating and prevent related electrical faults. What it does:
- Stores and delivers high-voltage energy used by the magnetron/ high-voltage assembly to generate heat.
- Failure may cause no-heat or weak-heat conditions in the oven.
- Faulty capacitors can contribute to arcing, loud humming, or blown high-voltage fuses.
- Works as part of the HV circuit; not a user-serviceable low-voltage control.
What's included: One high-voltage capacitor. Install notes:
- High-voltage components can hold a dangerous charge—disconnect power and discharge the capacitor before servicing.
- Use insulated tools and avoid touching terminals; verify proper operation with appropriate test equipment.

A Tap-Tite binding-head screw used to fasten appliance panels and components where a self-tapping metal thread is required. Replaces missing or damaged fasteners to restore secure assembly and reduce vibration or rattling. What it does:
- Creates its own mating thread in thin sheet metal for a secure hold without a nut.
- Holds panels, brackets, and trim in place to prevent looseness or movement.
- Commonly used where stripped, missing, or broken screws cause rattling, misalignment, or parts that won't stay attached.
- Compatible with standard screwdrivers or nut drivers sized to the binding-head.
What's included: One Tap-Tite binding-head screw Install notes:
- Disconnect power and unplug the appliance before working on it.
- Use the correct driver bit to avoid cam-out or head damage.
- Start straight and apply steady pressure; avoid overtightening to prevent stripping the formed threads.
- If the original hole is badly damaged, assess for repair or use of a larger fastener as needed.

This heater sheath is the metal housing that surrounds and protects the dryer's electric heating element, helping direct heated air into the drum for normal drying. Replaces a damaged or corroded sheath to restore safe, efficient heating. What it does
- Holds and shields the heating element assembly to prevent contact with other components
- Directs airflow around the heating element so the dryer can produce warm air
- Helps maintain proper element alignment and electrical insulation
- Common symptom: dryer runs but produces little or no heat
- Common symptom: visible damage, rust, or burn marks on the element housing
What's included
- One heater sheath (heating element housing) as shown
Install notes
- Disconnect power (unplug or switch off breaker) before servicing to avoid electric shock
- Handle the heating element and terminals carefully; sharp edges may be present
- Inspect element, thermal fuse, and wiring while the cabinet is open; replace only confirmed faulty parts

Loud while heating Rick D. • Westville , IN • May 08, 2017
Checked Magnetron, capacitor, and diode. All checked ok. Magnetron was very low resistance across connections and infinite to ground. Cap checked out at 1uF and diode was checked with a 9V battery and checked out ok with a 3V voltage drop. Ran microwave with cover off and noise seemed to be coming from the high voltage transformer. Replaced transformer. All good.
