The bearing on the dryer drum wore out so bad the ball fell off Thomas J. • Green Bay , WI • October 31, 2016
I replaced the ball and socket connection for the drum. After doing so, I realized that the belt had been stretched and the tension pulley was not putting enough tension on the belt to turn the drum. After ordering a new belt, extra screw that was lost while disassembling the dryer, and some high temperature lubricant for the drum ball and socket the dryer now runs as well as it did when it was new.

Replaced element and adjusted wiring after removing rear panel of stove. Tightened one of the contacts. Checked current with meter. Adjusted insulation. I ordered an element and standoffs to keep the element from touching the oven surface but you provided me with the correct replacement which came with the clips unlike the authorized distributor in my area the first time I replaced the element. My wife thinks the oven is working better than the day we first used it.

After finding or oven no longer heated, we found that the clock/time (controller) board had failed and fused one lead of the wiring harness to the board. We replaced the board and entire wiring harness. Took about an hour to match the direct fit wiring harness and mount the new board. The job wasn't difficult just a little time consuming.
