Replaced the Controller (mother board). I previously replaced the temperature probe (316217002) but that did not resolve the problem. Replacing the Controller (318185446 / AP3583606) was much easier and quicker than replacing the probe. Simply remove the 6 or 8 screws that secure that range top and the top lifts easily exposing the Controller. There are only 4 electrical connections that easily unplug and reattach. This was an easy fix: Requires a screwdriver and 10 minutes. The old handle broke where the screw tightens into the plastic of the handle. It was literally falling off thus easy off; then put new handle in place and tighten the existing screws. The new handle did NOT come with new screws. Read more
