This burner head is used on gas ranges to provide the cooking heat. The burner head is attached to the burner tube assembly that supplies the gas. When the burner is ignited, the holes in the burner head produce the flame that is used for cooking. Over time, food spills and normal corrosion may cause the holes in the burner head to become clogged or damaged. If this occurs, food will not cook evenly, or the burner may not ignite. The burner head should be removed and replaced. Turn the gas and power off to the stove. Remove the burner grate and burner cap and set them aside. Lift the burner head off the stove and dispose of it. Place the new burner head over the burner base and make sure the pin goes inside it. Seat the burner head level over the hole and make sure it is level. Place the burner cap and grate back on the stove. Reconnect the gas and power. This burner head is an authentic OEM replacement part sourced directly from the manufacturer for use on gas ranges by Kenmore, Frigidaire, Crosley, and Electrolux. It is a silver metal part that is sold individually.

Broken hinges on oven door Ross M. • Fanwood , NJ • February 21, 2015
My oven door hinges both broke. The metal on the frame of the oven bent and tore, eventually the hinge metal broke too since it was out of alignment. I bought two replacement hinges with good metal (remember to get one left hinge and one right hinge-the description doesn't clarify that and they look nearly identical). Since the metal on my oven frame was torn, I had to make a custom steel backing for the frame before installing these new hinges. The alignment is perfect now and the hinges...

Changing oven from lp to natural gas Kim G. • Prescott Valley , AZ • March 06, 2016
We bought a stove off Craigslist and didn't realize it was LP Gas until we got it home and my husband was hooking it up and the burners wouldn't light all the way around. My husband has been out of the gas company for over 10 years now and was a little rusty on what was happening. I jumped online and when I read that the possibility was because LP Gas, my husband said..."thats it." So we jumped online... on a Sunday and actually got a real person to chat with at AppliancePartsPros who told...

Perforated skirt Gabriel C. • Jefferson , LA • December 13, 2015
I thought this would be a simple remove and replace, boy was I wrong. This repair became more complicated then it should have been. The screws holding the skirt were frozen and broke when trying to remove. Had to end up cutting the skirt using a dremel and a cutting blade. Was able to remove one of the screws using a pinning plier. The other one I had to bore it out using a drill bit. Once that was done the rest was a breeze, discarded bad seal, clean the surface, install the new seal and...

Burner skirt rusted out on kenmore cooktop Terry S. • Evanston , IL • May 20, 2015
This should be an easy 5 minute three screws out and three screws back in job....but on older stuff it's never easy is it? The screws that hold the skirt on my burner were, like the skirt, rusted solid and despite soaking with PB-1 Blaster they just broke off when I tried to remove them. You can't effectively drill out the remains of the broken screws either (well I couldn't) because the part they screw into is a soft alloy and the screws are hard so the bit wanders off center and if the hole...
