The bearing on the dryer drum wore out so bad the ball fell off Thomas J. • Green Bay , WI • October 31, 2016
I replaced the ball and socket connection for the drum. After doing so, I realized that the belt had been stretched and the tension pulley was not putting enough tension on the belt to turn the drum. After ordering a new belt, extra screw that was lost while disassembling the dryer, and some high temperature lubricant for the drum ball and socket the dryer now runs as well as it did when it was new.

This is a gas safety valve designed for dual oven configurations in gas ranges. It controls the flow of gas to the oven burners and shuts off the gas supply if the flame goes out, preventing dangerous gas leaks. Replace this valve if your oven fails to heat, heats inconsistently, or if you smell gas when the oven is turned off.
