Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You
The bearing on the dryer drum wore out so bad the ball fell off Thomas J. • Green Bay , WI • October 31, 2016
I replaced the ball and socket connection for the drum. After doing so, I realized that the belt had been stretched and the tension pulley was not putting enough tension on the belt to turn the drum. After ordering a new belt, extra screw that was lost while disassembling the dryer, and some high temperature lubricant for the drum ball and socket the dryer now runs as well as it did when it was new.

Genuine Frigidaire part
By: Frigidaire
Part Number: 316557118
The Oven Control Board is an OEM part compatible with Frigidaire ovens and ranges. It is the main circuit board that controls all functions of the oven such as temperature settings, timing, display illumination, and modes like bake, broil, and convection. Note: This part doesn’t include the overlay piece. You will need to purchase the overlay separately.
Symptoms of a bad control board include:
- The display not lighting up or working properly
- Inability to change temperature or time settings
- Oven not heating up or baking evenly
- Unexpected buzzing or clicking sounds
Causes of a bad control board are often related to normal wear and tear over time. As a critical electronic component, control boards can malfunction even with light-to-moderate use of the oven.
It is compatible with Electrolux, Gibson, and Kenmore models with the same control board.
Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You
The stove would not work. I had a Sears repairman come out and he stated it was the control board. The price for repair was $450 00 Margaret D. • Ocala , FL • March 10, 2020
I called you and gave you the model number of the stove. The customer service rep. was able to identify which control board I required and I paid extra for next day delivery. The part arrived on Saturday morning. I took the part out of the box and it was exactly what I expected after watching several YouTube videos on replacing the control board in a Kenmore range. I pulled the stove away from the wall and unplugged it. I turned the range around so I could access the back of the stove. I...
