The bearing on the dryer drum wore out so bad the ball fell off Thomas J. • Green Bay , WI • October 31, 2016
I replaced the ball and socket connection for the drum. After doing so, I realized that the belt had been stretched and the tension pulley was not putting enough tension on the belt to turn the drum. After ordering a new belt, extra screw that was lost while disassembling the dryer, and some high temperature lubricant for the drum ball and socket the dryer now runs as well as it did when it was new.

The replacement glass arrived very promptly as scheduled. It took me longer to clean up the broken glass than it did to install the new glass. I removed the handle screws and installed the new glass, then installed the handle and done. The new glass fits perfectly and looks great.
