This upper hinge assembly secures and guides the refrigerator door, restoring proper door alignment and smooth opening/closing. It replaces a worn or damaged hinge to help stop sagging, rubbing, or noisy movement. What it does:
- Provides the pivot point that lets the refrigerator door swing open and closed.
- Restores correct door alignment to reduce gaps and improve sealing.
- Stops symptoms like a sagging or misaligned door, scraping sounds, or loose movement.
- Works with existing screws and trim when installed correctly.
What's included: One upper hinge assembly. Install notes:
- Unplug the appliance or disconnect power before starting any repair.
- Support the door while removing and installing the hinge to prevent it from dropping.
- Use the manufacturer's service manual or diagrams for fastener locations and torque; do not force parts.

My LG refrigerator ice maker was leaking water inside the ice maker cavity in the left side door in addition I was getting moisture around the ice door seal and the cold air ducts James W. • Seal Beach , CA • October 20, 2018
I replaced the ice maker assembly, which included the motor and electronics. I also replaced the door seal and the input cold air duct seals. The ice maker is mounted with only 2 philips screws, so it is easy to remove. The most difficult part is the harness, specifically the ground screw. The issue is that the wire is short and you need to turn the unit in order to get a screwdriver in. It would help to have a short screwdriver, but I was, finally, able to remove it with the full length...

This is refrigerators door gasket assembly that is used on the right-side door of a french style refrigerator. The gasket assembly is what seals the door to the appliance so that air does not leak into the unit or out of the unit, which helps the appliance maintain a specific temperature.A new refrigerator door gasket assembly will be needed if the gasket is cracked, broken, or damaged in any way. Some refrigerators may begin the beeping alarm that alerts the user that the door is not closed, when in fact, it's just the gasket that has gone bad. The refrigerator door gasket assembly may need to be replaced after normal use over time. This is a genuine LG part and is an OEM part sourced directly from the manufacturer. It is sold individually. This particular refrigerator door gasket assembly is compatible with refrigerators that are manufactured by LG.

The refrigerator/freezer stopped cooling and the beeping alarm that indicates a door is not closed all the way was beeping Carla P. • Keller , TX • July 14, 2015
The alarm beeped for two days before I figured out that the light switch in the freezer was the problem. The light bulb- I thought - had burned out a long time ago, but it was actually frozen to where the light just would not come on. Apparently the freezer door had been left open long enough to thaw out the switch and now the light was working. Problem was that now it wasn't turning off even when the door closed. This was telling the unit that the door was open, hence the continuous...
