After trying to glue the assembly back 3 different times I decided to look and see if it was a part I could buy. To my surprise it was! I replaced the ice maker assembly, which included the motor and electronics. I also replaced the door seal and the input cold air duct seals. The ice maker is mounted with only 2 philips screws, so it is easy to remove. The most difficult part is the harness, specifically the ground screw. The issue is that the wire is short and you need to turn the unit in order to get a screwdriver in. It would help to have a short screwdriver, but I was, finally, able to remove it with the full length... Read more

Both fixes were easy. The only snag was the first shipment there was virtually no packing material and the ice-maker banged around in the box enough to break itself and the new drawer. I called customer service immediately. A lovely gentlemen assisted me in replacing both items and this time it arrived with plenty of packing material. The drawer fit better than the original and within 1 hour we had ice from the new ice-maker. Most likely will be contacting them again soon, as the latch on... Read more
