This decorative trim piece covers the front edge of your refrigerator door to provide a finished appearance. It conceals door mechanisms and hardware while protecting the door edge from damage. Replace this part if the trim is cracked, loose, discolored, or missing, which affects both appearance and door protection.

One of the refrigerator doors was off kilter and not closing properly. Dean S. • Henderson , NV • April 04, 2018
I was kind of guessing at the parts that I needed, but the parts diagrams were a huge help, and I narrowed it down to the bushing and stopper on the right door. I removed the door and was able to replace the parts pretty easily. Now the fridge door works good as new.

The refrigerator/freezer stopped cooling and the beeping alarm that indicates a door is not closed all the way was beeping Carla P. • Keller , TX • July 14, 2015
The alarm beeped for two days before I figured out that the light switch in the freezer was the problem. The light bulb- I thought - had burned out a long time ago, but it was actually frozen to where the light just would not come on. Apparently the freezer door had been left open long enough to thaw out the switch and now the light was working. Problem was that now it wasn't turning off even when the door closed. This was telling the unit that the door was open, hence the continuous...

Lower freezer door would not stay shut turns out a shaft with gears was missing from initial install Bruce M. • New River , AZ • August 08, 2016
Ordered the parts, which was a pair of ice gears and the bar that connects them. Had to refer to upper freezer drawer to figure out how the gears fit into the rails. Turns out they snap into a plastic hub that is riveted on the rail. Took some effort to finally get them to snap on. At first it seemed like they would not fit. Really had to apply force to get them to go on. Then added bar, which seems to me to be slightly short in length. It works, but I think if any tension is put on it,...
