This motor overload protector helps prevent motor overheating by cutting power if the motor draws excessive current or gets too hot. It restores normal operation once the motor cools, helping protect the main motor from heat-related damage. What it does:
- Senses excessive motor current/heat and interrupts power to stop the motor from overheating
- Can prevent burning or further damage when a motor is overloaded or stuck
- Common symptom: washer motor hums but won't start or spins intermittently
- Works as a protective component in the washer's motor circuit

Install notes:
- Disconnect power before accessing or replacing the overload
- Access the motor area from the rear or bottom panel per your model's service instructions
- Handle terminals carefully and reconnect wires to the correct terminals
