An lg double door refrigerator had broken drawers and a seal/stop cracked off so one door wouldn't close Linda R. • Saint Petersburg , FL • October 04, 2014
We looked at the diagrams on your site and were able to tell which parts we needed. We had tried other sites and could not recognize the parts because the diagrams did not have a zoom. LG would not give us the information because they have a contract with a local parts/repair company. We bought three parts and were able to fix the fridge without bringing in any outside help. We weren't sure about the seal/stop part but once we saw it we figured out how to replace it.

This motor overload protector helps prevent motor overheating by cutting power if the motor draws excessive current or gets too hot. It restores normal operation once the motor cools, helping protect the main motor from heat-related damage. What it does:
- Senses excessive motor current/heat and interrupts power to stop the motor from overheating
- Can prevent burning or further damage when a motor is overloaded or stuck
- Common symptom: washer motor hums but won't start or spins intermittently
- Works as a protective component in the washer's motor circuit
What's included:
- One overload (motor protector) as shown
Install notes:
- Disconnect power before accessing or replacing the overload
- Access the motor area from the rear or bottom panel per your model's service instructions
- Handle terminals carefully and reconnect wires to the correct terminals
- If symptoms persist after replacement, test the motor and related components.

The Gasket is an OEM part for Whirlpool refrigerators. This gasket ensures an airtight seal around the door, preventing cool air from escaping and warm air from entering. It's crucial for maintaining the refrigerator's internal temperature and ensuring efficient operation.
Causes of a bad gasket can range from normal wear and tear over time to accidental damage, such as pulling or stretching when cleaning. Replacing a worn or damaged gasket is essential to ensure your refrigerator runs efficiently and to avoid spoiled food or increased energy costs.
Symptoms of a bad gasket include:
- Noticeable gaps or tears in the gasket itself
- Difficulty in keeping the refrigerator temperature consistent
- Increased energy bills due to the refrigerator working harder to maintain its temperature
- Condensation or frost buildup inside the refrigerator
This OEM Whirlpool part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper and some Kenmore models.

Lower freezer door would not stay shut turns out a shaft with gears was missing from initial install Bruce M. • New River , AZ • August 08, 2016
Ordered the parts, which was a pair of ice gears and the bar that connects them. Had to refer to upper freezer drawer to figure out how the gears fit into the rails. Turns out they snap into a plastic hub that is riveted on the rail. Took some effort to finally get them to snap on. At first it seemed like they would not fit. Really had to apply force to get them to go on. Then added bar, which seems to me to be slightly short in length. It works, but I think if any tension is put on it,...
