Micro switch replacement on LG lfx25991st refrigerator. Thomas V. • Temecula , CA • March 11, 2020
After my layman's diagnosis (hope) of a bad micro switch to the ice dispenser (would not activate and dispense ice through the chute) I purchased the both the ice and water dispenser micro switches (kill two birds with one stone). Ice sensing lever (keyed onto mtr shaft) found down and would not budge. Also, test button (hidden beneath mtr) only 'beeped' when pushed. The 10 pin connector's 'clip' is also hidden against roof of freezer - mine broke but connection still seems secure. New unit was exact fit - test button (now) cycles thru one cycle of rotation and H2O fill with no beeps.... 18 hrs later, bin is half full....ice for the summer :)
Remove freezer door (front) so you can lay down and look up. Cold plastic...

Symptoms of a failing Fan Motor include:
- The refrigerator not cooling adequately
- Unusual noises coming from the refrigerator, such as humming or buzzing
- Ice buildup in the freezer compartment due to poor air circulation
- The refrigerator cycling on and off more frequently
Causes of a bad fan motor can include wear and tear over time, obstructions in the fan blades, or electrical issues such as faulty wiring or a malfunctioning capacitor.
This OEM LG part is also compatible with Sears/Kenmore.

Broken plastic French door clasps on an LG refrigerator. Kenneth D. • Centerville , MN • December 23, 2021
1. Googled "appliance replacement parts" - found two sites to consider
2. Researched parts needed via a exploded diagram - can't fix it if you can't name it.
3. AppliancePartsPros.com had the easiest diagram and after checking, the lowest price.
4. Parts showed up within a couple of days - an in-transit note was helpful.
5. The part screws in but watch out you don't break the tiny black pin holding the part on in addition to the screw. Needed JB Weld to fix that.

Worn nylon bushing on door Michael K. • Port Charlotte , FL • July 23, 2019
Elderly neighbor charged $100 for factory tech to inform her that the part wasn't available anymore, so I ordered 2 from Appliance Parts Pros.com (one for a spare) and when they arrived a few days later, I installed then in about 20-25 minutes. I had to remove all the food off the door shelf so I could lift the door off the hinge to replace the bushing. That took 5 minutes. Shame on the tech that went by the date of manufacture rather than checks by model and serial number to see if the part...

This is a rubber or elastomer damper that supports and isolates the evaporator fan motor inside the refrigerator. It absorbs vibration from the motor to reduce noise during normal operation. Replace this part if you hear excessive buzzing, rattling, or vibration coming from the freezer section, which often indicates the damper has hardened or deteriorated.
