I heard grinding then noticed lack of rotation in a 4 yr old lg front loader washer David C. • Gaston , OR • September 19, 2015

Most said that the rotor assembly was bad as the nut that held the rotor and other parts together had loosened and allowed slippage between steel and plastic splines. The Vent Hose is an OEM part for LG washing machines. This hose is essential for ensuring proper ventilation within the washer, allowing air to circulate and preventing the buildup of moisture and mildew. It helps maintain the efficiency of the washing machine by facilitating the expulsion of air and excess water vapor during operation.
Causes of a bad washer vent hose can include wear and tear over time, blockages from lint or debris, or damage due to bending or pinching.
Symptoms of a bad vent hose include:
- Excessive moisture or condensation inside the washer
- Musty odors from the washing machine
- Visible cracks or holes in the hose
- Poor ventilation leading to inefficient washing cycles
This OEM LG part is also compatible with Sears/Kenmore.

Found the right part on this site, replaced it with little effort. While in there I saw a similar hose and decided to replace it as its time was probably up too. So far so good, washing clothes and no leaks!! Great prices and best of all the right parts were delivered in a timely manner. Thanks for making this so easy. Only specialty tool used was hose...
