The Ice Door Solenoid Assembly is an OEM replacement part for LG refrigerators. This assembly controls the opening and closing of the ice door, which allows ice to be dispensed from the freezer to the exterior of the appliance. When you request ice, the solenoid activates, opening the ice door and permitting ice to pass through.
Symptoms of a bad Ice Door Solenoid Assembly include:
- Ice door not opening or closing properly
- Failure to dispense ice
- Ice accumulating or jamming at the dispenser
