LG Help-line said probably a failed magnetron, but since out of warranty, referred me to an authorized LG repair service. They wanted $79.95 service call to come out & diagnose problem. I ordered replacement magnetron for less than cost of a service call, Plus the part was delivered next day! Works like new again. Happy wife = happy life!

This is a small fan blade that sits inside the microwave cavity and rotates to distribute microwave energy evenly throughout the cooking area. It helps prevent hot and cold spots in your food by stirring the microwave waves as they enter the cavity. Replace this blade if your microwave heats unevenly, if the blade is cracked or warped, or if you hear unusual noises during operation.

A Tap-Tite binding-head screw used to fasten appliance panels and components where a self-tapping metal thread is required. Replaces missing or damaged fasteners to restore secure assembly and reduce vibration or rattling. What it does:
- Creates its own mating thread in thin sheet metal for a secure hold without a nut.
- Holds panels, brackets, and trim in place to prevent looseness or movement.
- Commonly used where stripped, missing, or broken screws cause rattling, misalignment, or parts that won't stay attached.
- Compatible with standard screwdrivers or nut drivers sized to the binding-head.
What's included: One Tap-Tite binding-head screw Install notes:
- Disconnect power and unplug the appliance before working on it.
- Use the correct driver bit to avoid cam-out or head damage.
- Start straight and apply steady pressure; avoid overtightening to prevent stripping the formed threads.
- If the original hole is badly damaged, assess for repair or use of a larger fastener as needed.

Symptoms of issues can include:

- Sparking or arcing seen near the door seal or frame
- Error codes displayed related to interlock detection faults
Compatible models include some GE, Kenmore, and Samsung units using matching door designs sourced from LG.

Take the top vent off by two screws & then one screw on the side & lifted her up and I could see the 3 switches I need to repair. Then unscrewed the housin to the 3 switches. Took the housin out , put the 3 switches in the new housing & put her in & plug them in . And plug the Nucor and she works like new. Highly recommended to deal with these people good people for the do-it-yourselfer.
