Needed new light Christine M. • Blountville , TN • December 12, 2015
It wasn't easy because this microwave over-the-stove light was difficult to find at a reasonable price. However, I did find one at AppliancePartsPros.com. Since the price was so reasonable, I bought 4 bulbs plus an interior light bulb and paid the same shipping price for all. Everything works great.

Microwave won't turn on or has no power? A failed thermostat often causes complete power loss. Moderate DIY repair requires disassembly to access.

No power. William R. • Jacksonville , FL • February 12, 2019
I checked for the reasons there was no power to the microwave. Then I talked with the technician at AppliancePartsPros who stated that it was most likely a blown or defective fuse. My LG microwave has two thermal fuses, a fuse assembly with two prongs and a short (1 inch) barrel type fuse. I replaced all of them after viewing YouTube videos and then reviewing the diagram for my microwave on the AppliancePartsPrps website. That was very helpful in locating where the fuses were installed.

The light under our lg over the range microwave was not bright enough William W. • Alvarado , TX • April 26, 2016
Added an additional light socket to the existing reflector. Changed the original 40 watt incandescent bulb to two 5 watt LED bulbs. It's actually bright enough for my old eyes now.

Our lg lmv2031bd otr microwave started making scraping and clunking noises but continued to work fine otherwise Russell S. • Moultonboro , NH • January 06, 2025
Looked online and found that someone had experienced the same issue and had replaced the cooling fan assembly for the magnetron. I ordered the parts for the assembly (motor, fan, and support), and replaced them and this fixed the problem. It took about 10 minutes to replace the parts, but lowering the unit and disassembly took around 45 minutes. The most difficult part was getting the outer sheet metal cover back on after the repair, as it has a bunch of clips on each front edge that need to...

Microwave would not microwave Richard E. • Cape Coral , FL • January 05, 2020
Replaced the Humidity sensor, Thermistor and door switches. I replaced these thinking the problem was one of the items but didn't want to trial and error one part at a time. Plus the cost was reasonable so if these didn't help I wasn't out a lot of money. I sense the door switch was the problem. Replaced all items and the microwave works great. Thanks for the advice and the cost of the parts.

Microwave won't power on? A blown fuse assembly is often the culprit. This part protects your microwave's circuit from overcurrent and short circuits.

Didn't heat. Harry W. • Maple Park , IL • January 21, 2018
My son told me that almost all the microwave ovens that came into the repair center he worked at, 15 years ago, had a defective magnetron. I ordered a magnetron, and sat back until one shipped. The one that came, the first time, was in a small factory cardboard box, which was in a large bubble-pak Fedex envelope; which didn't show any signs of abuse. Inside, however, the factory box was beat up. Removing the magnetron, I noticed that the socket, as well as its' pins, was bent, and loose in the...

This thermostat is a temperature-sensitive safety switch used in LG microwaves. It monitors internal temperature and opens the circuit when overheating is detected to help protect components from heat damage.
- Monitors temperature at its mounting location inside the microwave
- Opens on overtemperature to interrupt power for safety
- Depending on model/location, a failed or open thermostat can cause no heat, the unit shutting off mid-cycle, or no power until it cools
- Helps prevent damage to the magnetron, cavity, and wiring due to overheating
What's included: 1 thermostat Install notes:
- Unplug the microwave before service; the high-voltage capacitor can retain a dangerous charge
- Note wire positions, remove mounting screws, and install the new thermostat flat against the surface for proper heat sensing
- Reassemble and test; ensure vents and filters are clear to maintain proper airflow and prevent future overheating

This part mounts on the cooktop and supports the small "auxiliary" burner assembly. It channels gas from the orifice to the burner head so the simmer burner lights reliably and produces a steady, even flame.
- Secures and centers the auxiliary burner head/cap on the cooktop
- Directs gas flow from the orifice to the burner head for proper combustion
- Helps position the igniter adjacent to the burner head for reliable lighting
- Common symptoms include hard-to-light or non-igniting small burner, uneven/weak flame, or a burner head that won't sit level due to a damaged base
What's included: 1 auxiliary burner holder/base Install notes:
- Shut off gas supply and disconnect power; allow the surface to cool completely
- Remove grates, burner caps, and burner heads to access the base; remove mounting hardware
- Transfer existing components (such as the orifice holder and igniter) to the new base
- Reassemble, restore gas, and check all connections for leaks before use
