I fe error code Josh V. • St. Louis , MO • June 10, 2026
Bought the fan motor that goes behind the back wall in the freezer section. Getting to it was relatively easy, though the power cord for the new motor was a lot shorter than the old one, so I had to cut the wires and splice it in - which was a little bit of a pain. Second issue was that the shaft for the new motor was longer than the old one and the fan was rubbing in the housing. So I drilled out the end of the fan blade so that the new shaft could push thru and let the fan blade move closer...

GE monogram range hood lights did not work. Kenmore refrigerator water dispenser would not shut off. Mark W. • Belair , MD • January 11, 2020
Refrigerator was easy. Simply replaced the activator switch that was sticking. The range hood was a little more difficult. I had replaced the switch years ago but it still didn’t work. So I took on the challenge of replacing the transformer. That was difficult to get to but once replaced and reassembled the lights work fine.

Two issues water in the bottom of fridge and clicking noise Leroy B. • Colorado Springs , CO • January 19, 2015
The old filter head was broken at the supply line side connector fell out. The clicking noise eventually caused the fridge to warm up and stop cooling. The clicking was the overload relay tripping. The Start solenoid on the compressor was an Embarco TSD part 513604044. APP does not have that part nor does any else found a similar one on ebay but I ordered the PTC assembly 6749C-0014E. This motor support damper sits between the refrigerator's compressor and base to absorb vibration and movement. Replacing a worn damper helps quiet rattles and humming from the back of the cabinet and keeps the compressor properly supported.
- Cushions the compressor to reduce transmitted vibration and noise
- Helps quiet humming, buzzing, or rattling from the lower rear of the refrigerator
- Maintains proper compressor alignment and support on the base pan
- Common signs of wear: increased vibration/noise, a cracked or flattened damper, or noticeable compressor movement when running
What's included: One motor support damper. Install notes:
- Unplug the refrigerator and pull it forward to access the rear; allow the compressor to cool before working
- Support the compressor to remove load from the mount before loosening hardware
- Replace the damper and tighten mounting hardware evenly without over-compressing the rubber
- Avoid bending or stressing refrigerant tubing; wear gloves and eye protection
Note: Many models use multiple dampers at the compressor feet—check your parts diagram to confirm the quantity required.
