Microwave won't heat or makes loud buzzing noise? The diode regulates magnetron current flow. Simple repair—test with multimeter for continuity.
I have a multimeter so I was able to check the fuse per website recommendations and it was blown. However, the capacitor on the microwave was also original so I elected to replace the capacitor, fuse, and the ground protect diode. The repair was very simple (making sure the capacitor was discharged before replacing) and the microwave is now up and running again. Excellent trade to buy $40 worth of parts rather than a new $400 microwave. One nit - Kenmore puts a screw in the back that... Read more
Connects the turntable motor to the glass tray hub so it rotates during cooking. Replace this shaft coupler if it's cracked, worn, melted, or broken.
About 9 screws on bottom and 2 on the turntable. The most trouble I had was putting the bottom back on. Took about 15-20 min. Easy fix Read more
Fix a microwave that won't start or runs with the door open. This door interlock switch ensures safe operation by detecting when the door is fully closed.
This is an AC synchronous motor that drives the turntable glass tray inside the microwave. It rotates the tray slowly during cooking to ensure food heats evenly. Replace this motor if the turntable has stopped spinning, turns intermittently, or makes a buzzing or humming noise without rotating.
Very easy repair, conveniently there is a hatch on the bottom of my microwave that provides access to the turntable motor. You have to cut this hatch out of the bottom with a pair of wire cutters. Then you just remove the plug on the motor, the two screws and it will come right out. To reinstall the hatch you just rotate it 180 degrees and insert the two tabs into the slots on the bottom cover. You will need one small sheet metal screw to hold it down. It would have been nice if the... Read more
Microwave not heating or sparking inside? This high voltage capacitor stores power for the magnetron. Common repair taking 30-45 minutes with care.

Secures interior panels and components. Replace when stripped, corroded, or missing to stop rattles and secure loose trim. Verify fit with your model number.
This thermostat controls refrigerator temperature to help maintain proper cooling and prevent spoilage. It replaces a failed or inaccurate temperature control to restore consistent operation. What it does:
This is a replacement screw used to secure appliance components and panels. It restores proper fastening where a stripped, missing, or damaged screw causes loose parts or rattling. What it does:
Replacement mounting screw for microwave installation and assembly. Use when original screws are lost, stripped, or damaged during service or relocation.
This is a circular wire harness holder that secures and organizes internal wiring within the range. It clips onto the frame or mounting points to keep wires routed properly and away from heat sources. Replace this part if it is broken or missing, which can cause loose wiring or potential contact with hot surfaces.
Insulator cover protects internal components from heat. Replace this part if your original cover is cracked, broken, melted, or missing from your appliance.
Truss head tapping screw secures panels, brackets, and covers in appliances. Replaces missing or damaged fasteners to restore snug fit and alignment.
