The Door Latch Hook is an OEM replacement part for LG microwaves. Located internally on the door frame, this metal hook secures firmly into the microwave's door latch bracket when closed. As a common wear point, the hook can experience minor warping over many years of use.
Causes of a bad door latch hook include normal wear and tear, loss of tension, or deformation from frequent door opening and closing cycles long-term.
Symptoms of a bad latch hook include:
- Door that does not close fully or completely latch in place
- Gaps forming in the door seal when shut
- Inability to achieve a tight, solid seal around the perimeter
- Latch hook failing to grasp the bracket securely
This OEM LG part is also compatible with Sears/Kenmore microwaves.

Glass fell out of its retainers and plastic clips holding the frame assembly to the door broke off Steve C. • Caledonia , WI • September 23, 2015
Careful placement of new screws into the inside of the outer door that now hold the frame assembly to the door secured the frame assembly to the outer door. All of the other parts I bought and replaced were a waste of money. I figured since I had them I might as well install them anyways. Easier than sending them back since I had the whole thing apart anyways. The part I really needed was no longer available, the outside door. The glass reinstalled into the retainers in the door without a...

This synchronous motor operates at a constant speed to drive specific functions in your oven or range. It typically powers timers, rotisserie mechanisms, or other precise timing operations. Replace it when timed functions don't work correctly or you hear grinding noises during operation.

Open the door and the microwave would start up with the door open Frank Z. • St Cloud , FL • May 12, 2017
Take the top vent off by two screws & then one screw on the side & lifted her up and I could see the 3 switches I need to repair. Then unscrewed the housin to the 3 switches. Took the housin out , put the 3 switches in the new housing & put her in & plug them in . And plug the Nucor and she works like new. Highly recommended to deal with these people good people for the do-it-yourselfer.

After a microwave fire there was no power to anything (display lights etc ) Daniel Y. • Pleasant Plain , OH • April 19, 2014
Replaced thermostat. Voltmeter showed no continuity so I knew it was dead. Microwave still stinks like burnt biscuit but it works! Took about a half hour to dismount the microwave and pull the casing off to expose the thermostat. It was extremely easy to do. I had to change the connectors as they were too small for the new part but that added all of 2 minutes to the project. In my case the fire didn't damage any other components. Total job time was less than an hour.
