This is the rear section of the dryer drum that forms the back wall of the tumbling chamber. It supports the drum structure and works with the front panel and drum seal to contain clothes during the drying cycle. Replace this part if it is cracked, warped, or damaged, which can cause unusual noises, poor tumbling performance, or air leaks that reduce drying efficiency.

My dryer is a 5 year old LG front load. Went to use it and when pressing the power button nothing happened. I had power to the light inside the drum. 3 screws takes the top right off then popped off the front control panel. Replaced the board and put back together and dryer works great again.
