This lid switch assembly is the safety switch that detects when the washer lid is closed and allows the machine to start or enter spin cycles. Replacing a faulty switch restores normal lid-safety operation and helps the washer complete cycles reliably. What it does:

• Detects lid closure to permit motor start and spin functions
• Prevents the washer from spinning or starting when the lid is open
• Common symptoms: washer won't start, won't spin, stops mid-cycle, or behaves intermittently
• Interfaces with the control to ensure safe operation during wash and spin

• Disconnect power before starting any repair to avoid electrical shock
• Access typically requires removing the washer top or control console; keep fasteners organized
• Test switch continuity with a multimeter after installation to verify correct operation

This replacement holder assembly secures an internal component so the appliance can operate reliably and quietly. It restores proper alignment and support where the original holder has become worn or damaged. What it does:

• Holds and stabilizes an internal part to prevent shifting during use
• Helps maintain correct alignment for connected components
• Reduces rubbing, rattling, or vibration caused by a loose holder
• Prevents improper seating that can lead to intermittent performance

• Disconnect power before servicing the appliance to avoid shock or injury
• Inspect surrounding clips and fasteners; replace any that are damaged
• Typical install requires basic hand tools and access to the affected panel
