The drum was hesitating and then not turning at all with an error code. Wife also smelled "something burning", which of course is never a good sign. Ordered a new stator and had my LG washer back up and running 15 minutes after getting the $100 stator via FedEx. This is the third repair on this machine in 8 years, all parts received from APP!!!! This is a plastic lifter baffle that mounts inside the dryer drum. It tumbles and lifts clothes as the drum rotates, promoting even airflow and efficient drying. Disassembled & found a poorly made spindle (spider) that was broken on each of 3 spokes. Heavy corrosion after 12 years of usage so can't complain.
