Since I could not find the correct thermistor from the schematic provided, I ordered the thermistor harness for the evaporator. I cut the harness and spliced it to the sheared thermistor wires on the roof of the freezer compartment. It now works fine with a little "farmer ingenuity" help. The amount of water being dispensed into the ice cube tray was excessive, causing overflow of the tray. The water then ran into the collection bin and even down the side walls of the freezer creating a huge block of ice in the bin, and ice all over the lower shelves as well.
