The amount of water being dispensed into the ice cube tray was excessive, causing overflow of the tray. The water then ran into the collection bin and even down the side walls of the freezer creating a huge block of ice in the bin, and ice all over the lower shelves as well. The excessive build up of ice caused the cube tray to crack and also split the little silicone water grommet that connects to the water delivery tube which directs water into the cube tray. Ordered a new part from Appliance Parts Pros. Looked online on how to replace it. Used a flat head screw driver to "pop" or pry off the faceplate mounted to the door. Once removed unscrewed two Phillips head screws to access the broken ice dispenser paddle. The old paddle popped off the hinge and the new one easily snapped into place. No tools needed for this repair. Top bin broke and fell on the bin below which caused it to break. Definitely a design flaw when so much weight is resting on a narrow,thin piece of plastic. Note: A full bin is an overloaded bin! I appreciate pricing and quick service of APP. Read more

The ice tray would not operate properly because the ice maker support was broken. I found the support I needed on Appliance Parts Pros site, then I watched their video on how to remove the support / ice tray from the fridge. Following the video I replaced the support and ice tray then put the assembly back into the fridge and "wallah" started making ice. Thanks to Appliance Parts, I successfully completed the repair and saved a bundle of money. All made possible by their concise video. Read more

Bought the complete coil assembly, and separated the heater tube. Had to bend each tang that held the heater tube. Took some time, but honestly was not that big of a deal. Took a fill day to defrost before turning back on, as the drain port in the fridge was completely frozen. Not too mention a hidden block of ice in the fan assembly. Removed lower rear cover, compressor was very hot. This is usually a capacitor issue, but the schematic on the back of the unit shows a start/ run relay. For the low cost, I replaced both. parts were delivered in 2 days. The start/ run relay is mounted directly to the compressor. It slides on/ off with a little bit of prying. No fasteners.
