This is the safety glass panel that fits into the dryer door, allowing you to view the drum contents during operation. It provides a heat-resistant barrier between the heated drum interior and the outer door surface. Replace this part if the glass is cracked, shattered, or has become cloudy and no longer allows clear visibility into the drum.

Samsung washer door lock did not work Ronald W. • Harleysville , PA • August 02, 2015
Found video by appliancepartspros.
Had seen videos before by others. Not easy to follow.
Your video was idiot proof. Made everything very clear.
Liked hint of using locking pliers to grab spring.
I hope I would have thought of that myself, but maybe not before busting a knuckle.
Washer works perfectly now, better than when it was new.
Samsung washer door lock did not always work since new.

Samsung front load washer made grinding noise when spinning. Smelled like rubber burning by the drum spinning against the door to tub seal. Joe K. • North Huntington , PA • February 18, 2020
I disassembled the washer and found the problem to be a broken spider. I ordered a new spider and bolts, a new tub seal, and a new bearing seal from AppliancePartsPros.com and replaced those parts for less than $200.00. A repair man would have cost at least half of that without any work being done. The washer is 10 yrs. old and I didn't want to spend a lot of money on it. The washer works fine now.
