Since the DC61-01558A was discontinued, I came across DC97-10417A during my online research. They appeared to be exactly the same, so......I decided to give it a try. After ensuring the water and electricity supplies are shut off, I remove the two screws at the rear of washer, opened the lid to access the water guide. It was a perfect match. Pulled top off (4 black screws on back of machine, top right and left corners). Slide lid straight back. Pcb was mounted to back wall of machine. Simple switch out, took a couple of minutes, a part that was less than $40.00 and I was doing laundry again. Beats spending another $800-$1000 on a new machine! Read more
