Very smooth. I ordered the door and the control panel. It is helpful to have an extra set of hands when removing the screws from the door or place something under it so it doesn’t drop. The door comes off with about 10 screws. They are different length. Short screws go into steel, long go into plastic. Remove the door and upper facia/control panel. It was simple. I removed the twelve screws around the door. Unplugged the old switch, plugged in the new on and screwed it back together. Before I purchased the lock/switch from Appliance Parts. I priced it at Sears Parts. It was $12 more and the 2 weeks delivery time which I also paid at $5.95 shipping. Appliance parts delivered in 3 days. for $12.34 cheaper.

I used the formed plates to engage the slots at the top front of the dishwasher and then screwed the plates to the plywood underside of the quartz countertop. I had to fold over the end of the plates to keep them from extending out past the countertop.
