Very smooth. I ordered the door and the control panel. It is helpful to have an extra set of hands when removing the screws from the door or place something under it so it doesn’t drop. The door comes off with about 10 screws. They are different length. Short screws go into steel, long go into plastic. Remove the door and upper facia/control panel. Somehow one of the mounting brackets disappeared after I had the cabinets and counter replaced, but these were a perfect replacement. They don't stick out as wide as the original brackets, but I think these are a better design. Also, the I found the original brackets online, but they were way overpriced, so i was glad to find these.
