This authentic OEM set of standard replacement rings attach to the pistons of a combustion engine and act as a seal to keep gas from escaping. If gas escapes from the piston, there will not be enough pressure to drive the piston upwards. Piston rings also help to transfer heat away from the piston so that the engine does not overheat and scrape away oil that's built up in the combustion chamber. These rings take a lot of abuse both from scraping and heat, so over time they may wear out or break. If piston rings break, the engine will produce low acceleration because the pistons cannot push the crankshaft. Other signs include greyish white smoke and built up oil. To replace a piston ring, first remove the pistons from the engine. These high-quality replacement rings are sourced from their original manufacturer and will work with Toro and Briggs & Stratton engines. This set includes three rings and no other additional hardware.

This connecting rod is a genuine Midwest Engine replacement part for appliances operated by small engines, including lawn tractors, lawn mowers, snowblowers, leaf blowers, vacuums, tillers, and generators. The function of a connecting rod in an engine is to link and hold together the piston and the crankshaft.A connecting rod might have to be replaced if it suffers damage over time; damage to a connecting rod can have disastrous implications for an engine if repeatedly used in a state of disrepair. Symptoms of a compromised connecting rod could include a knocking sound from the engine when it is running, unusually low oil pressure, reduced fuel economy, and consistently low oil levels. The most productive method to determine the efficacy of a connecting rod is a simple visual assessment; however, this will require a full breakdown of the engine and a careful examination of the piston, the crankshaft, the bearings, and the connecting rod itself. Remember to always wear gloves when handling, repairing, and operating outdoor equipment. This connecting rod is compatible with the following brands: Briggs & Stratton, Toro, Cub Cadet, and Simplicity.

This screw is a genuine Midwest Engine replacement part for small engine appliances, including lawn tractors, lawn mowers, snowblowers, leaf blowers, vacuums, and tillers. The purpose of a screw is to tightly link materials together through rotation that pierces into the material. A screw might have to be replaced in the event that it is lost or misplaced, a common occurrence due to its size. A screw might also be replaced if it deteriorates over time, through erosion, cracking, or piercing, thereby reducing its efficacy in holding materials together. This kind of damage can be attributed to general overuse, to age, or simply to long-term exposure. If a screw is subject to any of this kind of damage, it is best to replace it immediately, as the materials held together by the screw must continue to be held together. Remember to always wear gloves when handling, repairing, and operating outdoor equipment. This screw is compatible with the following brands: Briggs & Stratton, Toro, Cub Cadet, and Lawn Boy.
