This cotter pin is a genuine MTD replacement part in the small engines of outdoor appliances such as lawn mowers, snowblowers, leaf blowers, and wood-chippers. A cotter pin is a type of fastener that secures nuts and bolts to one another; in order to use the cotter pin, a hole must be drilled into the bolt. A cotter pin is useful for appliances that shake, rattle, and vibrate regularly, as it keeps the nuts and bolts in place, ensuring that all the internal materials are held together.A cotter pin might need to be individually replaced if, despite the extra security it provides against loosening parts, it loosens along with the nuts and bolts, thereby letting internal materials separate from one another. A cotter pin could be subject to damage from cracks, chips, piercings, or erosion over time from general use or overexposure. A replacement cotter pin should be ordered if it can no longer keep nuts and bolts in place. Remember to always wear gloves when handling, repairing, and operating outdoor equipment. This cotter pin is compatible with the following brands: MTD, Columbia, Craftsman, Huskee, and Troy-Bilt. This part sold individually.
A cotter pin is a standard piece of hardware typically used on lawn and garden equipment as a method of securing something to an axle or round shaft. These pins are thin and, although they are durable, they can rust or become damaged over time. In some instances, they can break off or become lost in the process of other repairs. A replacement with the right size and style of cotter pin will ensure that equipment is in working order at all times. This genuine OEM cotter pin replacement can be used with select lawn and garden equipment from MTD, Huskee, Yard Man, Yard Machines, Troy-Bilt, Bolens, Cub Cadet, and Murray. It can be used on lawn tractors, log splitters, chipper/shredder units, and snowblowers. There are more than 150 compatible units, so owners should consult their parts diagram for application(s) of this pin. Note that this pin may have multiple applications on a single machine. This cotter pin is sold individually and may require needle nose pliers to replace.
This bearing flange is used on a wide variety of lawnmowers and lawn tractors. Unlike other bearings, the flange bearing is used to ensure the axle assembly stays securely attached to the pivot axle. The purpose of the flange bearing is to make sure the axle is able to move freely and in an effortless manner. The bearing undergoes a large amount of friction and stress while in use, so it can start to wear down.If the lawnmower is showing signs of wear at the flange bearing, it should be replaced. It's a good idea to regularly inspect the part to be sure it is in good shape. To replace the flange bearing, remove the bolt from the steering shaft and remove the old bearing. Grease the new bearing and the shaft before reinstalling the part. Reassemble and tighten all parts. This is a genuine OEM replacement part that is directly sourced from the manufacturer. It is sold as an individual component. The flange bearing is made to be compatible with lawnmowers created by MasterCut, Yard-Man, Bolens, Huskee, MTD, Yard Machines, Murray, Troy-Bilt, Cub Cadet, and Craftsman.

This is a flanged lock nut. It’s designed to apply tension, typically on a joint that needs to have a certain amount of flex. As such, it’s mostly used on snowblower chutes and lawnmower handles. They can remain in place, but with a forgiving connection that can take a beating. The nut size is 3/8, with a thread size of 16. A lock nut will generally last for many years. However, the silicone ring inside will wear down if it’s frequently tightened and loosened. It needs to be replaced when it will no longer reliably remain in place. Generally, this begins as a symptom of slight slippage and worsens as time goes on. Thankfully, whether it’s being used on a snowblower or a lawnmower, this nut is generally straightforward to access. Simply unscrew the old nut, then screw the new nut on until it’s nice and tight. Our flanged lock nuts are genuine OEM MTD nuts, and they are sold individually.
