- Unplug the appliance (and shut off water supply for units with plumbing) before working nearby
- Support the appliance when adjusting so it does not tip; use a helper or appliance dolly as needed
- Turn the leveler by hand or with a wrench; adjust both front/back or left/right sides evenly and re-check with a level
