The Control Unit is an OEM component specifically designed for select Bosch dishwashers. It directs all cycle functions through an integrated circuit board and wiring harness. Precise monitoring optimizes cleaning results.  

Symptoms of a faulty control unit involve cycles failing to complete, or washing/drying not commencing as selected. Water leaks from long-term interior dampness exposure require replacement.

Causes of a bad control unit commonly relate to regular wear from extended usage. Component degradation over time inhibits dependable cycle progression necessitating a change.

Symptoms of a bad control unit include:

  • Partial or incomplete cycles leaving dishes unclean
  • Inoperative cycle/setting buttons and unresponsive display  
  • Faulty cycle monitoring resulting in improper cleaning

Hello Joe. Make sure the float is not stuck. If not then it sounds like either the wiring harness is bad or the control board is bad on the unit.

Robbie, You will want to check to see if there is power getting to the wash motor when the unit is in the wash cycle. If there is no power then the control module will be the issue. If there is power then the wash motor would be the issue.

Hello Jonathan. It sounds like the unit is not draining properly. You will need to check the filters and make sure they are good and make sure the unit is draining as it is suppose to drain. Also, make sure your using rinse aid when washing your dishes.

Peter, You will need to check the base of the unit to make sure that there is no water in the base. This would cause the unit's flood switch to trip and cause the units pump to continuously run.

Hello Bill, The most common issue with these is an incomplete water fill. This is normally caused by a defective water valve 00425458. If this isn't the issue, the next suspect is the heater 00480317. If this is the part that tests bad, be sure to order the clamp 00172272 also so you can get it installed. The clamp on the unit from the factory is a crimp on, one use clamp.
