The Control Unit is an OEM component specially designed for select Bosch dishwashers. As the appliance's main processor, it directs all wash cycles, temperatures, times, and auxiliary features.

Integrated circuitry executes complex programs with precision to thoroughly clean varied loads efficiently. Sensors monitor functions and provide cycle status updates to the control panel interface.

Symptoms indicating control unit replacement include:

  • Cycles failing to start or responding incorrectly to input selections
  • Error codes displayed without reason or resolution through reset
  • Inoperative auxiliary settings like speed adjustment or half-loads

Causes stem from degradation over decades of continuous thermal and electronic stresses. Water intrusions pose risks as circuit boards are fragile to short circuits.

This OEM Bosch replacement part is also compatible with Thermador, Gaggenau, and select Kenmore dishwashers utilizing identical cycles and diagnostics systems. Reinstallation ensures continued intended cycle performance.

For Bosch Control Unit (Part Number: OEM13443432)

Charles for Model Number SHE43F12UC/64

My dishwasher doesn't drain. It goes through the wash part of the cycle but when it gets to the drain part of the cycle, it goes down to zero and ends the cycle. It is also showing error code e2. I checked the thermistor. it is showing a lower resistance at a lower temperature as is the thermal cutoff side of the thermistor unit. i.e., it opens up at 127 degrees. The float valve seems to be working bc I push and hear it click. If it was not working at all I wouldn't get any water. The door latch is ok. I didn't know how to start the drain cycle and can't do that with it all apart. what do you recommend?

1 Answer

Charles, Check to make sure that the filters are not clogged and you will need to test to see if there is 120 Vac coming from the control board to the drain pump. If there is 120 vac then make sure that the pump is not clogged and if it is not then replace the drain pump. If there is no power then replace the control board.

Johnny R, I would start by running the diagnostics for your machine and check for possible error codes. The tech sheet packaged with the machine should have the instructions for the diagnostic test.

Reynolds for Model Number SHE45M06UC/48

During the drying portion (last 20 minutes of the "normal" cycle), I heard a humming noise that was not consistent with drying (i.e. no noise) and noticed a smell like electrical circuitry had overheated, opened the door and heard some gurgling like a pump was running, but the tub was empty and dishes were dry. How do I troubleshoot this? Today I will remove the door covering and check wiring for obvious signs of melted insulation, etc.Any thoughts on these symptoms?

1 Answer

Reynolds, Most likely you are hearing the drain pump running. Especially if it continues when the door is open. You will probably find water down in the base of your unit wich has activated the flood switch. The machine thinks there is overfilling and initiates the drain pump. Most of the time the valve needs replaced because it will not open all the way and leaks water out of a air gap on your left side water inlet system. Remove the unit from the cabinets and check the base for water. Dry thoroughly and with the unit still out start a cycle and look the leaks as it fills and runs. Keep an eye on the left side water inlet during fill.

Typically just run a Auto Wash cycle. Lately, the dish washer time count downs to 1 and stays there. Can hear that the dish washer is still running. When we het power scrub wash and regular wash buttons together, it does a cancel reset and drains the water. When we open the dish washer, we see some soap on the bottom. Observed no real soap on dishes. Tried doing a diagnostic by selecting both the power scrub wash and regular wash together, and then selecting the on/off button. Code C6 comes up in the display, and then changes to P0. Right now, P0 is displayed, with the auto wash LED on and regular wash LED flashing on/off. Think problem may be with the control module?

1 Answer

Hello Paul, the control board has found a heating problem, all parts of the heater circuit need to be checked.

Alan, Occasionally dishwashers will run for hours, not finish washing & show a “1” in the display. This means the module has timed out due to an unidentified heating problem --all heating related parts must be checked until the problem is found. You'll need to check the heater elements, thermal fuse, thermistor and wiring to the heater assembly 00480317 / 00480317.

My Bosch dishwasher will not open the water inlet valve to start a wash cycle. I have replaced the water inlet valve and float switch but still cannot get water to flow in when it turns on. The water pressure is also fine. Is this control board the only other part that could be causing the issue? I also tried to test the plug coming to the inlet valve with a meter but didnt get anything which makes me think its the control board. The control board does not appear to have any issues, and I can choose all of the options. It will also spray water if I dump water into it and pump the water out.

1 Answer

Chris, Yes the control unit will be the most likely cause for the unit to not fill with water.

Blehr, To access the control unit you will need to open the door and remove the 4 screws across the top of the inner door panel and the first one down the side. Then you will remove a screw from the side of the control panel on each side. This will allow you to lift the panel off and access the control module to remove. The control module will be clipped in and you just unclip and disconnect wires and reconnect to the new control module and reassemble.

Jim M. for Model Number Model SHU4322 UC/U112

Have Bosh dishwasher M-SHU4322UC/112 getting a code of 2H on front control panel. Checked drain line & inside filter. Reset panel using Reg wash & Rinse & hold button together. Washer will run some water and than doesn't do any thing more -- will not continue with the rest of the cycle and of course water that has ran will stay in disherwasher. All the time the control panel shows 2H and can only get water out by resetting the butt~ons.

1 Answer

Jim, The 2H in the display is not really an error code, It's more for information "2H Indicates that the last wash cycle took over 99 minutes to complete. Usually indicates inlet water too cold, or heating fault in the dishwasher." You'll want to check and make sure the water temp. in the tub at the start of a cycle is at least 120 dgrs.F.
