1 Answer Bill, the drain pump for your unit is part number [00620774]. If you look at the second image of the drain pump for your model, there is a clip. This clip would have to be pressed down and while pressing down the drain pump would rotate clockwise to remove. Read More...

Jerry W March 19, 2015 for Model Number SHE43RLxUC Dishwasher started making a buzzing sound and wouldn't empty. Service person suspected drain pump. He pulled the access panel while unit was running and got a jolt. He suspects the drain pump and ordered one 3 wks ago and hasn't received it yet. I am tempted to order online and replace myself since I am capable. I am concerned about the jolt however. What would cause the chassis to become energized like this other than a bare wire?
1 Answer Jerry, The chassis being energized would come from an exposed wire touching the cabinet of the unit so you will want to determine where the bare wire would be located. Read More...
1 Answer Hello Loren. Look for something inside the drain pump. If it is clear, then replace the drain pump on the unit. Read More...

Larmguy January 14, 2014 for Model Number Bosch SHE44C05UC Follow up to a question regarding the drain pump being damaged by freezing- 2 questions actually: 1) Can you provide brief instructions on how to remove the drain pump? 2) Once the pump is removed, how can I tell if it is damaged? Do you think it will be visible on the outside? Thanks!
1 Answer Hello Larmguy. To do this you would need to remove the kick plate and the door panel. There will be a piece of galvanized metal that runs across an opening. Remove this piece and you can access the drain through there. You will release the locking tab and twist to remove the pump. Check for a damaged impeller or if the pump does not turn properly. Larmguy January 13, 2014 for Model Number Bosch SHE44C05UC We had below zero temps for several days and it gets very cold in the cabinet space where the dishwasher is installed. The unit would not do anything but hum so I used a portable heater aimed at the unit for several hours. This thawed out the water supply line and the unit worked for a few days until it got even colder. Ran a cycle and when it finished there was several inches of water left in the bottom. I bailed out the water and waited for the weather to warm up. Ran a Rinse and Hold cycle to test- works, but now there is a very loud buzzing noise during the drain cycle. I suspect that the drain motor froze and is damaged. Am I on the right track?
1 Answer Hello Larmguy. Yes, it sounds like you are on the right track. Remove the pump from under the unit and see if it is damaged. Read More...
Mark S September 17, 2013 for Model Number shv46c03uc Hi - My water was not drainning and there is a burning wires smell. Service was here today and replace the drain pump assembly and fixed the burnt wiring. Tested if quickly and it drained. This evening tried to run a full cycle and the burning smell is back. Question: can the drain pump assembly be replaced from under without removing the built in machine and what could be causing the wires to burn again. Thanks...
1 Answer Mark, Yes the drain pump can be accessed with out removing the unit. To do this you would need to remove the kickplate and the door panel. There will be a piece of galvanized metal that runs acrossed an opening. Remove this piece and you can access the drain through there. For the burnt wire you will want to check the power supply and make sure that there are good connections. Check for discoloration in the wires and check the amp draw on the pump. The amp draw should be around 1 to 1.2 amps max. Read More...
Patrick August 31, 2013 for Model Number Bosch shx55m Trying to address bad odor in dishwasher. After running a cycle there is always about 1" of water in the bottom of the sump, no visible water on the bottom/floor of dishwasher. It would appear normal that a little water would remain in the sump. Should it be completely dry?????
1 Answer Hello Patrick, There will always be some water left in the bottom of the sump area after draining but you should have to remove the filter assembly to see it. I believe you either have a clog in the drain or the drain pump is failing. Read More...
