Aa June 12, 2013 for Model Number BOSCH DISHWASHER SHE6APO5UC/03 My BOSCH DISHWASHER SHE6APO5UC/03 keep giving an error code E:24.. I have clean drain and filter in dishwasher made sure that drain hose is above outlet drain. Replace water inlet value and float switch. I can hear dishwasher trying to start but after two minutes into any program cycle E:24 but if (example: quick wash 30 minutes I let it count down to 29 open door and close door back it complete the full cycle this happen all programs. Do i need a drain pump if so how to remove and install.
1 Answer AA, You will want to take the mesh filter out and down in the hole there is a T15 torx screw that you will want to take out. Once removed and the cover that the screw holds in place is removed, or gain access to the impeller and use a shop vac the hole to make sure that there is nothing clogging it. This video should help to show you how to access this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hfw3vliCf4c Read More...
Floyd December 16, 2012 The drain motor on my Bosch dishwasher will not turn off. I put several gallons of water in the machine, and it pumped out fine - but the motor will not turn off when finished draining. The unit is about 5 years old. I cleaned the filters and tune off/turned on to try to reset. Nothing helped.
1 Answer Floyd, A model number for the dishwasher would have been more helpful. But the basic version is, the power to the drain pump motor is supplied directly from the timer or control board. So, you're going to need to check the wires to the drain pump motor and make sure theres no shorted wiring, check the timer or control board circuits for a "stuck" or shorted contact/relay. Peter December 03, 2012 for Model Number she56co2uc Suds, many many suds at the end cycle and after many cycles without soap. It started about 5 days ago . Have historically used 1/2 the recommended additives. When the problem started reduced additives to 1/4. Detergent - 'Finish', Rinse Aide - 'Jet Dry liquid', Water Conditioner - 'Lemi-Shine'. Water level fills to bottom of door. Drains are clear. Water circulates very well in washer. At end of cycle there is approx 1" of water in the bottom (sump). I'm tempted to replace the drain pump. I've looked at it and the impellers look to be in good shape unless there is supposed to be soft rubber at the end of the blades. The blades of the impeller are hard plastic. I wanted to check the float and float switch but did not know where it was located. Any idea on the suds? Replace the drain pump? Thanks, Peter
1 Answer Hello Peter, At some point, someone has put dish washing detergent for the sink in the unit. There is no way regular dish washing detergent can act this way unless WAY too much was added. Here's what to do to get rid of the issue. Put in one tablespoon of a vegetable based oil, (vegetable oil, corn oil, peanut oil, etc.), and let the machine fill and run for at least 5 minutes. This will kill the suds and allow you to drain it all out of the unit. Now you have to get rid of the oil. This is done by making sure the water filling the unit is hot and start the machine on a normal cycle. The first thing you will hear is the unit pumping out. Then you will hear a hissing noise which is the unit filling with water. Open the machine as soon as you hear the hissing noise and pour in 1 quart of white vinegar. Close the door, turn off the heated dry, and let the unit run through the complete cycle. This should get you back to where the manufacturers' recommendations will produce a satisfactory wash result without replacing the pump and motor assembly. Read More...
Sean R October 11, 2012 for Model Number SHE33M05UC/50 Hi there. My Bosch dishwasher has stopped draining. The circulation cycle runs fine. When it seems to want to drain, the drain pump seems to cycle on and off for about 2 seconds on/2 seconds off for some time before it quits trying. The sump/basin is left full of water. Any ideas? Thanks,
1 Answer Hello Sean. Make sure the drain pump is clear and the drain hose is clear and neither has a blockage or clog. If they are clear, you will need to replace the drain pump motor 00261687 on the unit. Read More...
Jeff June 18, 2012 for Model Number smu7056uc/14 This is a follow-up question to my first question, (dishwasher quit working). The bottom of the dishwasher is completely dry and I was able to move the float switch and could hear it click. Because the bottom is dry, there is no leak. So, I'm wondering if the drain pump is just "jammed" or something or just completely failed, and if it has failed would that prevent the wash cycle from continuing? Thanks. Jeff
1 Answer Hello Jeff, If the bottom of the dishwasher is dry, are we sure the water inlet valve 00092188 is operating? There should be enough water in the unit to be able to tell the water has filled. Read More...
Jeff June 17, 2012 for Model Number smu7056uc/14 My dishwasher quit working yesterday. When turning on I hear an electrical humming sound like it is trying to do something. I looked at the bosch drawings/diagrams from your website and have confirmed that when dishwasher is turned on I get 115 V at the drain pump but it is not making any noise or working so I'm thinking that the pump has failed and needs to be replaced. Would a bad drain pump prevent the dishwasher from continuing on with its normal cycle? Because the timing diagram says the pump should run for about 25 seconds and then the fill and circulation process should start for 30-60 seconds. Thanks jeff
1 Answer Hello Jeff. Check and see if there is any water located in the bottom of the unit in the bas section. If so, there is a water leak, and it is holding the float up and you will need to repair the leak and dry out the water in the bottom for the unit to work properly. Read More...
