Ken for Model Number NGM8655UC/01

How do you change the electrode (Igniter)? Do you do it from the top or through the bottom of the cook top? My problem is that the igniter fires through the side of the ceramic insulator on the electrode instead of from the top surface of the electrode. In doesn't appear cracked but it appears to be short circuiting through the ceramic insulator just as it emerges above the aluminum burner (flame distributor). It appears you offer the electrode as a replacement part. Thanks in advance.

Ken, To replace the electrodes you will need to remove the unit from the cabinet. Once you have it lifted out you would need to remove the burner heads. Once removed then remove all the screws from around the perimeter of the burner box that hold in the main top and remove it. Once it is removed you would be able to change the igniter.
