Nick April 20, 2019 for Model Number AP2836886 I bought these grates a couple years back and they are mostly rusted now. Are they made of pure iron? I'm reluctant to pay again if they are not going to last. Any similar issues with other customers?

Christy May 10, 2017 for Model Number Thermador CGB30RCZLP I am looking for Replacement Parts to fit our Thermador Gas Grill, model #CGB30RCZLP. Our grates measure 20" long and 5" wide and are the original grates; also if the radiant panels #00487535 would fit. Have these and other parts for this Thermador grill been replaced by Model #CGB30RCULP? I just ordered 2 burners that matched but was wondering why these other parts did not show for our model Thanks.

Spencer August 30, 2011 for Model Number cgb36ru WHAT CAUSES THE PORCELAIN TO COME OFF THE GRATES. I HAVE REPLACED THEM SEVERAL TIMES AND IT IS VERY COSTLY.
1 Answer Spencer, Most common reason for chpped grates, Usage. Chips can occurr when the grates are banged by pots or pans, when removing for cleaning, etc. Grates are high end grates usuall cosist of a metal based frame and a porcelain coating( porcelain is basically glass). Porcelain wont chip as readily as expected, you may bang a grate, and it can tak days or weeks before the chip dtaches and falls off the grate.
