The Ignition Device is an OEM part for Bosch ranges and ovens. Located near each gas burner, the ignition device provides the critical spark needed to light the burners during startup.

Causes of a bad ignition device can include wear from prolonged use over many years. Mineral buildup or debris accumulation may also prevent the spark from jumping across.

Symptoms of a bad ignition device include:

  • Burners failing to light or staying lit
  • Repeated attempts needed to ignite the gas
  • Inconsistent flame heights or burner performance
  • Fault codes or error messages displayed

This OEM Bosch part is also compatible with Thermador, Gaggenau, and some Kenmore models.

For Bosch Ignition Device (Part Number: OEM13535451)

Tommie C for Model Number PG486GLBS/05

I just replaced the ERC board because both ovens went out simultaneously. Once replaced, they oven still won’t light. The gas comes on but no spark is initiated. I have identified the spark modules GasLiter 504000 3852 2003-71. Do you think the issue might be there? There are two of them. Do they both need replacing since neither oven will ignite? Or, should I just replace the less expensive igniters on each oven first to see it that resolves the issue? Then again, what’s the chance of both the spark modules coining out at once? Could you give me the parts numbers for the igniters and the spark modules (just in case), please? Thank you!

Alf for Model Number Thermador PG366bs/02

The oven spark electrode in my Thermador PG366bs/02 no longer sparks. I can turn on the oven with an external flame, so the gas solenoid isn't an issue. I've also replaced the wire from the spark electrode and the spark electrode itself. None of that has fixed it, so through process of elimination, I need to replace the faulty GASLITER 50400 3842 2003-71 (on the first line) MARK 10DN-117-3-8.5-8.5-P0062 HT FD 0440 (second line) 117VAC1=.1A/v=1A W/O 8133453 (third line) channel products chesterland oh (fourth line) www.channelproducts.com (fifth line). Is this item you sell here compatible with mine? Mine has 6 pins at the harness connector. The ones for the 2 broiler spark ignitors work fine. Since I don't use the broiler, but use the oven, my initial plan was to just use one of the ones from the broiler, but those have 7 pins (the faulty oven one has 6 pins only) and begin with 10DX instead of 10DN. Is this item you sell here compatible with mine?

Jose, In most cases the most likely cause for the unit to not spark on one burner would be a faulty ignition device.

Mat for Model Number PG366BS-13

Hi- We have a Thermador Range PGG36BS-13. The X-Low burners quit working. Blue light comes on, but no gas and no spark. Both burners quit working at the same time. I'm guessing it's the spark module, because both potentiometers would not go out at the same time (Or would they?). For several months, if I switched off the breaker for 1 minute, then back on, the burners would would properly. I did this many times. Now, that does not work any more. Could you please advise on which specific part numbers I should be ordering? Thank you!
