Rafael, aside from doing a voltage test at the latch motor to ensure it is receiving proper voltage, the latch can be observed for rotation. If the motor rotates and moves the latch, then it is possible that the switches are not operating properly. The switches can be tested for continuity (with the power turned off from the entire unit). With the switches being activated at the plunger, the terminals on each switch should have continuity. If the motor is receiving voltage but not moving the latch, or any of the switches fail for continuity, then the lock assembly has failed.

Steve, you may want to inspect the latch lock assembly to ensure that it is fully in the unlocked position and is not catching on the door lock insert. If it is, then the proper correction would be to replace the lock assembly. Another thing to check for would be any small obstructions that could be getting caught in between the door and cabin.
